Located in central Warsaw, this luxurious private apartment was designed by Arch. Katarzyna Kraszewska Architektura Wnętrz. The layout combines natural light, sculptural furniture, and high-contrast finishes to create a contemporary space that is both expressive and refined. Oakcent’s Hazel Collection in a French chevron pattern was selected to bring visual rhythm and warmth into the interiors.

The design prioritizes contrast and coherence. In a space defined by angular geometry and muted color gradients, every material was chosen for its tactile and visual performance. The use of chevron oak flooring brings structure to the open layout while echoing the interior’s graphic symmetry. With light flowing in through the winter garden, the floor becomes a subtle reflector — enriching the perception of space without dominating it. The flooring, crafted from engineered oak in Oakcent’s Rustic grade, was laid in a precise 45° chevron format. Each plank was brushed to reveal the natural grain, then smoked to introduce warm depth and tonal variation. Finished in grey oil, the surface takes on a refined matte character that gently responds to changing light conditions throughout the day.

The muted tone and textural quality of the dark wood flooring provide both visual grounding and quiet movement. It integrates seamlessly with the apartment’s custom-built cabinetry and high-end furnishings. Transitions between rooms are fluid, reinforcing spatial continuity. The low-gloss surface reduces glare, enhancing comfort while maintaininI architectural integrity.

Beyond its aesthetic contribution, the engineered oak flooring offers high dimensional stability — an essential feature for urban apartments where indoor climates vary. The brushed surface finish ensures long-term durability and ease of maintenance, aligning function with the refined character of the space.
