At Oakcent, sustainability isn’t a label. It starts with respect — for wood as a material, for craftsmanship, and for the forests that make our work possible. Every floor is made with care for its origin, and with responsibility for the home it becomes part of.

We craft wooden floors locally and responsibly — reducing our carbon footprint and increasing our energy self-sufficiency.
Renewable solar energy
Our production is powered in part by a rooftop solar PV system, covering a significant share of our energy needs. This helps us produce parquet flooring with a significantly lower carbon footprint and greater energy self-sufficiency.
Local production & transport
We don’t rely on sea freight. The oak we use comes from Czech and Slovak forests. Other materials are sourced from European suppliers, as close to our facility as possible. This reduces emissions and gives us full control over quality and traceability — down to every board.
Recycling & efficiency
We turn wood offcuts into heating briquettes. In production, we use smart technologies to reduce waste and energy consumption.
Natural surface finish
We treat our floors with natural bio oils — no harsh chemistry, in step with nature. The oil penetrates deep into the wood, enhancing its natural character without sealing the surface. That keeps the wood breathable, and your space, too. A healthier environment for living, working, and creating.
Long lifespan = lower impact
Oakcent floors are designed to last for generations. Post-warranty service and ongoing care can extend their life by decades. We believe the most sustainable product is the one you don’t have to replace.
