Located in central Warsaw, this unique apartment was designed by Arch. Katarzyna Kraszewska Architektura Wnętrz as a composition of natural contrast and refined materiality. The interior pairs natural stone with sculptural furniture and carefully modulated lighting. Oakcent was invited to collaborate as a partner in delivering an exclusive flooring solution — one that would respond to light, geometry, and connect the zones into a coherent whole.
The selected floor came from the popular Oakcent Hazel Collection, laid in a fully bespoke pattern using a combination of premium and rustic-grade oak. The mix of 250/750 mm and 195/2200 mm formats brings rhythm and cohesion across the space. The boards were brushed, smoked, and finished with a grey natural oil, resulting in a soft matte surface that enhances the natural grain of the wood.
This project reflects Oakcent’s role not only as a supplier of wooden floors, but as an active design partner — shaping solutions in direct response to architectural vision and spatial logic.
This engineered oak flooring reduces glare and gently reacts to shifts in daylight throughout the day. It introduces a sense of calm and spatial balance — becoming not just a background surface, but a material expression of the architecture itself.
